Join Tracey on an amazing photographic workshop which offers the best opportunities to photograph Wild Wolves in Poland.
The target species during this amazing experience are: Wolves, Foxes, Golden Eagles, Buzzards & Ravens
The trip consists of 2 travel days, 6 photo days.
The European grey wolf, a mythical and extremely rare animal, but fortunately they are on the rise again. This trip offers you the chance to observe this animal up close. A unique photo trip, because never before have the chances to photograph wolves as great as here. It seems unbelievable because wolves are distance migrators that don't hang around in the same place very often, but for these photo hides it works.
We will be located in the far east of Poland on the border with Ukraine. Endless forests and tiny villages alternate. Rugged and inaccessible forests of tens of kilometres provide a perfect habitat for these shy animals. Because they are no longer hunted in this location and they have a gigantic wild and undisturbed territory, the chances here are maximal.
An encounter with this animal is truly an indescribable experience. When you see it for the first time, you realize that you are experiencing an extremely rare moment that you will cherish for the rest of your life. And as a nature photographer, it gives a huge thrill to see the wolf in your viewfinder, the beauty of this animal splashes off your screen.
From perfectly comfortable photo huts with a perfect point of view and with nice accommodation. Patience and perseverance are needed, but with top wolf photos as a result!
The region where people can coexist perfectly with Wolves
Here, the local people have learned to live happily with the presence of large predators such as wolves and bears. They are sometimes even spotted in the streets of the small villages. But at least they are protected and respected, and that can only serve as an example for our countries where the rise of wolves is a hot topic.
They sometimes approach up to 10 meters in front of you, if you do it right....
With a bit of luck, the wolves sometimes come very close to the hut. But of course, this depends entirely on the discipline of the photographer. As always, discretion, unobtrusiveness and silence are the key to success. Such animals deserve our utmost respect and disturbing them as a photographer is the last thing you want. The photo hides are perfectly built with the necessary acoustic protection, but as a photographer you have to be quiet as a mouse if you want to get such photos.
During your photo day you have a chance to win beautiful extra activities from Foxes, Golden Eagles, Buzzards and others. So keep your eyes open!
Nature Photography is about being patient
As always, we tell the honest story. Bears, and especially wolves, are not easily photographed. A lot of patience and silence is required. Pictures of these animals are worth that too! The chances of success are high, but there are no guarantees. Some days it simply doesn't work, which is why a minimum number of days is desired and included in this tour.
Long waiting, a lot of patience, continuous alertness and always realizing that you are waiting for these beautiful bears and maybe even a wolf. That's what it asks of you. After all, it's not a zoo, and that's how it should be.
But the moment they show themselves, bears and of course wolves make an unforgettable impression. The strength, beauty and elegance of these animals is indescribable.

There are 3 photo hides available from small to large, each at a different height to get different viewpoints. They are beautiful, spacious and sturdy constructions with all the necessary comforts, even with sanitary facilities.
A big plus of these cabins is that you look through glass but photograph without glass, which definitely benefits the quality of your images.
For your comfort:
– good seats
– camping toilet
– heating if desired
– sound-absorbing upholstery
– threaded connection points for tripod heads
– 2 connections per person for different lensesAutumn: Depending on the temperatures and conditions,
you can still use both the photo hides in the field and the photo hide in the forest in autumn. Even now, you still have the chance to see both bears and wolves. During your presence, it can be determined whether it is still possible to spend the night in the photo hide.Winter:
In the winter months you can use the photo hides in the open field and you have the unique opportunity to photograph the wild wolves in the snow. It goes without saying that the chance of seeing bears is very low as they go into hibernation. Given the expected temperatures, it is not possible to spend the night in the photo hut. -
In a very small village there is a farm on 24 hectares of land. You will stay in beautiful typical bungalows, which offer every comfort. Fireplace, bathroom with shower, kitchen, neat bedrooms, in short, everything you need.
The package is full board and you eat in the main house of the farm. The food is of course Polish cuisine but perfectly fine.
From this accommodation you can even see the huts on top of the mountain on the other side. So you are at the hut in 10 minutes and the guide will take you there in a sturdy Land Rover. This means that you are staying in the middle of the wolves, which is also a unique fact.
